ABOUT THE SEMINAR

National Seminar on 'Research and Innovations in Industrial & Marine Biotechnology: A Circular Economy (RIIMBCE - 2024)', Empowering Blue & White Economy is scheduled to be held on 4-5th November 2024 at the Centre for Industrial Biotechnology Research (CIBR), Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India in collaboration with Biotech Research Society of India (BRSI) & National Research Development Corporation (NRDC). Biotechnological innovations are rapidly reforming the medical, pharmaceutical, agriculture, and allied sectors. Industries have been quick to follow with scientific discoveries regarding industrial production and their commercial applications for the well-being of society. Circular Economy (CE) in the past half-decade has emphasized holistically addressing economic, environmental, and social aspects of the industrial sector. CE has recently emerged as a new paradigm for creating the basis for a sustainable society. This seminar will foster the process of 'Vigyan Dhara' scheme approved by the Indian Government to promote S&T capacity building, innovation and technology development in the field of biotechnology. The seminar will focus on plenary seasons, poster presentations and exhibition of cutting-edge research, and networking sessions; the seminar seeks to catalyze partnerships and initiatives that drive forward the integration of biotechnology into global industrial economies. Ultimately, the goal is to facilitate knowledge exchange, inspire innovative solutions, and contribute to the advancement of biotechnological applications that benefit society and the economy at large greater heights.

SCOPE OF THE SEMINAR

This Seminar aims to bring together experts from academic institutions, industries, research organizations, Govt. officials and policy makers to share ideas in emerging research fields that are pivotal in advancing biotechnological solutions, enhancing healthcare, and exploring sustainable resources for innovative industrial and societal applications. The seminar targets to bring together domain experts working in different sectors of Biotechnology and other related fields to share their valuable knowledge in their respective fields of expertise. The seminar will also provide a platform for the young researchers to interact with the experts and industry personals to enhance their knowledge.

Our Campus at Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar is an ancient city in India’s eastern state of Odisha, formerly Orissa. Many temples built from sandstone are dotted around Bindu Sagar Lake in the old city, including the 11th-century Hindu Lingaraja Temple. Outside Rajarani Temple are sculpted figures of the guardians of the 8 cardinal and ordinal directions. Jain antiques, weaponry and indigenous pattachitra paintings fill the Odisha State Museum.

Author Guideline

Interested authors can submit the Abstracts within 250 words in MS-word, using Microsoft CMT account. The template of the abstract is available on the conference website. Acceptance of the abstract will be notified through email. The author has to submit the full-length paper within 10% similarity report for the selected abstracts, in MS word/Latex format only using the same Microsoft CMT account, which will be presented at the conference.
All the papers must be original and should not have been submitted to other journals or conferences. The presented papers at the mentioned conference will go for peer-review process, and the selected papers will be published in AIP conference proceeding and CRC Press (Scopus, WoS indexed). The publication details will be provided after the confirmation from the publisher.

Review Process

1. The preliminary review partially assesses whether the paper is suitable for the conference track by undergoing plagiarism checking using TURNITIN with below 10% similarity for the whole paper and below 2% from each individual source.
2. After the first elimination round, the editor will assign one suitably qualified subject expert as a reviewer for external double blind peer review process.
3. The handling editor invites reviewers based on expertise, publication history, and past reviews, to provide feedback on the manuscript.
4. After agreeing to review, external double blind peer reviewers typically will have 15 days to submit their review (for first submissions). The editorial office will follow up with late reviewers.
5. If the handling editor decides that your manuscript has the potential to be published, then you will be invited to revise your work based on the reviewer's comments.
